I promised myself yesterday that I would make healthy choices all day for my food and it went well - happy chappy.
Today I being mindful of what I do. Whether its sitting for too long or having a snack - I will be more mindful about what I do and don't do during the day.
Just for today.

Morning Dave. I went to bed at 10.35. Planned for 10. 30 so feel ok by 5 mins slip. (Hadn't anticipated my new things to do took so long! Update health diary, post km to lizzy...! )
But 10. 35 is much better. However today am moving that to 10.
Well done for achieving your pledge yesterday, that's great! Glad you've set another for today, and good luck with it.
Yesterday's pledge for me was to decline all offers of cake etc during a visit to a relative - and believe me there are always numerous offers to decline - and I came away having had two cups of tea with milk, and was successful in saying 'no' to the cakes. I also believe that I didn't cause undue offence, so that was a good result!
Today's pledge - I hope to go to the gym later - which I actually don't feel like doing - as I am feeling a bit lethargic today! Hence, it is my pledge, as it would be easy not to go.
Well done on your cake denial - it must be so tough with the wintery weather not to want some comfort food!

Great thread! My pledge for today is not to drink alcohol. I did do 8 days and then had two glasses of wine. Back on the wagon and hope to last longer than 8 days!

Hi Dave - I love this thread. Although I don't contribute everyday, it's a lovely idea and the sentiment behind it is really motivating - just take one step at a time. Hopefully it seems to be really working for you as well
My pledge today is that I am going for a run and taking the dog for a decent walk at some point - even though it is pouring down with rain and looks like it will stay that way !

Just for today I'm only going to have 2 slices of bread!
Bread is my go to easy snack and it needs to change.
Just to say that I managed my pledge today, and I did get to the gym, so thanks for helping me to achieve that - as I really didn't feel like going, and the 'pledge' really helped me get there, and I felt so much better for going - as I had renewed energy when I got back!
Just to let you know that I won't be online for a couple of days, due to other commitments, but I'll look forward to looking for further threads/pledges if you're setting any when I am back in the forum later in the week.

Today is my day off which are normally a nightmare when it comes to sticking to healthy eating but just for today I'm going to menu plan for the whole day and stick to it!
Hi Dave! Pledged an early night on Monday, by 10. I was in bed ready to go to sleep at 10....then I started reading and replying to healthunlocked. The light went off at 11. Epic fail!
So I pledged again today.
I got into bed at 9.20 to give myself time to do this tonight.
So just got to update my health diary and it should be lights out before 10 😊.
