Now i won't post each and every day i am dry...just weekly...promise!

However Monday is a killer day for me. When i get home it is so late I have a quick dinner and a glass of something to easethe painand wash the day away.

Well tonight...i washed the day away with copius amounts of herbal tea.

Thank you! ☺

Congrats Asics - post all you want, if it helps! I really craved some wine today. Had cider instead which is a victory for me - 1-2 units of a small glass of cider compared to 4 or 5 units of half a bottle of wine that I'd end up having if I'd had wine in the house. I just had to not buy any wine on the way home, which I succeeded in doing :)

Yay! Well done on not caving in!!

If you have a craving it is so hard to overrule it.. and you did it!

Every cut unit is a victory!

Keep going! 😊

Yay! Tomorrow should be easier. Honestly, I'm just not getting wine to have at home anymore, it's too much of a slippery slope for me. I'll be drinking angelic herbal teas like you tomorrow :) Enjoy your feeling of victory too :)

Great idea. We must also relish those other bonuses... like... No groggy mornings, no feelings of regret or self disgust.

Like yourself I have drunk far too much for more years than I care to remember. My doctor sent me for a blood test to check my liver function and I received a phone call to see her again.Sure enough my liver wasn't working as it should, certainly made me knock the booze on the head.I know it's hard but remember alcohol calories are empty calories.Best of luck xxx

Gosh John-bailey - what a blow that must have been. I cannot imagine how you must have felt. Thank you for sharing - that has spurred me on some more.

I get cross with myself as I only have one body and I seem to be keen on destroying it. But this year I will change that!

You are quite right too, the calories I put away must be huge. Am very interested to see if this affects the weight loss.

Thank you for the good luck wishes - really appreciated x

First few days always the hardest in whatever we are trying to change.

You will do it πŸ˜ƒ

Well done.

YOu might find that also without the alcohol it's easier to maintain your willpower.

I gave up the booze 2 years ago and I do not miss waking up feeling worse for wear :)
