Hi Hannah_88, I follow the principles of the NHS 12 wk plan nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss...
This has worked for me and I can recommend on two counts.
The first is the results healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
The second is that, there are no restrictions on what you can eat, just the amounts
This suits me, because I like my food, I like my food a lot
Most of the people on here follow the same plan and you will find loads of support from this very friendly community. The 12 wk plan is not just about diet, it's about a change 4 life. A change in eating habits, an education and a change in activity levels and exercise.
I hope you find it interesting.
As for recipes, all the recipes can be used, including those posted by bigleg, who has given some very good links.
Wishing you a safe and happy journey x
Youtube - loads of on line exercises classes in all sorts 'types'
Try Headspace for a bit of 'me time'
Try 'my fitness pal' to track all your calories and watch your weight loss in a variety of graphs (if thats your thing)
Finally remember that a portion is the same size as your clenched fist
Youll be fine - just try and keep it simple, avoid temptation, drink lots of water (although my thing is herbal tea), lots of veg loads of salad and try and avoid anything processed. If its been processed there will be lots of nasties inside.
If you dont already.......cook from scratch then you will know whats in what you are eating
Good luck - believe in yourself and if you find yourself giving in to temptation go and take yourself off to a clothes shop and stand in front of a changing room mirror - that focuses the attention !
For exercise try searching Leslie Sansome walking videos. They are free and good for exercising in doors when weather is cold and miserable outside. Good luck with the weight loss and exercise.
Thank you
