So I really want to lose more than 1lb this week at slimming world. I've got my (personal ) target of 5 lb in a month, but I really don't want to maintain.
I'm proud of myself in that last night, while the others phoned up for their Chinese takeaway, I got my chicken and veg ready and had it while they eat their fried rice, sticky ribs whatever. I can't really say I missed having what they had. I did allow myself some wine which I had saved syns for though. I'm not proud that I've let myself get so fat, but no use crying over that now.
Another three days to go before my weigh in, so I'm going to really try hard to stick to the plan. Id be happy with even half a pound off.
Keeping fingers crossed ( that way, its difficult to put food in your mouth anyway. I keep dropping the fork 😃)
Xxx

Well done Libby - sounds like you got through a big test by avoiding the takeaway - if you can do that, you can be good for the next three days
Wow such self control to eat other food instead of eating take away! Amazing! Thanks for motivating me as everyone else is going to eat yeast and sugar foods this week and I am determined not to as I suffer from a thrush and I am desperate to loose weight and not gain so no doughnuts and cheesecake for me even though I am the one making it and hopefully I will loose my 2 lbs this week.
Just to tell you when l tried slimming world you could get a book called fake aways, it was a book giving slimming world recipes for home made take away foods, it was shockingly nice and flavoursome x
Thank you all for the encouragement guys ! I did feel very pleased when I woke up this morning and realised I hadn't given in. I think to be fair though, my motivation is coming from my hope that when I'm not carrying so much baggage, my hip/leg pain will be less worrisome - cant hurt to weigh less can it.
Good luck all this week xxxx
Well done - it's a real achievement to not join the crowd but to do the healthy eating for yourself.
I've just checked and there are loads of Fakeaway books on ebay - not sure how much one is new, but a link to just one of the ones on sale is below:
Thanks for the link Runningsoon, ( I love your name by the way, I'm picturing a native American beauty with long black hair and a quiver of arrows on her shoulder 😊)
I placed a bid, but got outbid immediately. I'll check out the actual book at club. I'm a bit nervous of placing bids on eBay since on my first attempt, many years ago, I put a top bid in of £80 for a piano accordian, and pressed too many O's, realising I was making my cut off point £80,000..luckily everone dropped out at £65 and I got it. ( it was rubbish and i don't play any more by the way !!!)
Hi Libby! every time you make a choice like you did you get closer and closer to the life you want - think about what you are gaining not what you are loosing or not having!
