I do sometimes jump on the scales a few times during the week, it keeps me more motivated! Beware tho, I have had fluctuations in spite of sticking to well within calorie range and no apparent explanation as to why. So I'd say, if you think to yourself now, "Hopefully I will have lost 3lb at the end of the week period", then if you keep the 5lb off or lose more it will be a pleasant surprise. So kind of expect lower than is currently reflected. I hope that makes sense, and everyone is different, you might find that it doesn't happen to you, just wouldn't want you to be disappointed if you had one of those dratted fluctuations on weigh day, as has happened to me a couple of times!

Sounds like you are well on track so whatever you are doing, keep doing it - onwards and downwards, wtg you! :-D

I do sometimes when I feel I need a midweek boost.

I do - I know I shouldn't but I do! it gives me a boost or tells me I need to be better for the rest of the weekend

tho I have now started to weight myself mid week at night (so when im heavier) and it hopefully tells me I weight the same or less than Monday morning which makes me happy :)

your doing well tho!

I weigh myself every morning and keep food diary. Weight goes up and down though. I can't understand how I could gain 3lb on the piddly amount I eat - it doesn't make sense.

I weigh myself twice a day. LOL

When I brush my teeth in the morning and when I brush them at bedtime.

I'm not really too bothered about whether my weight goes up or down. Indeed my weight varies quite a bit and I put it down to how hydrated my body is. My weight in the morning can be 3lb lighter than the evening. The general trend on a weekly basis is downwards.

What is important to me is my waist size. I have a piece of string which is trimmed to fit exactly around my waist. At the end of each week, I re-measure and trim the string to the correct length.

In six weeks I have lost four inches. I fully expect my weight reduction to slow down soon, but I shall continue to try to reduce my waste size by all means available; including exercise.

Is there anyone else that uses measurements in conjunction with weight?

Always ...on and off the scales like a yo yo....but I stick to the Wednesday for the check in..... best of reasons ...it's my lowest point of the week.....my opinion ...do what works for you.

I think as I have gotten older I have started to weigh myself less often - probably know myself well enough now to kind of know where I am at during the week.

But I did go through daily weigh ins for quite some time a few years ago - all I can figure is that they didn't work well for me or I wouldn't be here! :)

I would actually like to have the courage to weigh maybe once a month and stop being so addicted to what that box of springs has to tell me.
