Still slow
Hello Tinkerbellsue
Two pounds is two pounds - think about what two pounds of butter looks like! If you keep going at that rate, it's over half a stone in a month - you've done a better job than you think you have
Head up and shoulders back and be proud of yourself - keep focus and have another great week!
There is no quick fix. When I started 15 months ago I lost 10 lbs in the first week. This is obviously not sustainable.
I have calculated my 8 stone total weight loss and it works out at an average of 1.7 lbs so 2 lbs in a week is good.
As I say this is an average. Even during the last few weeks I've had weeks where I've gained a couple of pounds and lost 5 pounds so don't get hung up on what you might consider a bad week. Any loss is good and you need to take the long view. As long as the weight is generally going down then it's a win win.
It also makes me feel quite relaxed about my weight loss in that I know I can have a bit of a blow out but generally will still lose weight. I'm off on a two week holiday very soon and I know I will gain some weight even though I will be careful but I also know I will get straight back on plan after and lose it again.
Keep going slow and steady and try not to overtrain as this will not work in the long run.
this happens to me too. Don't worry keep on doing what you can and it will bring success! Good luck this week.
2 Lbs is great - its exactly the rate of weight loss that you can do consistently - 2 lbs a week for 12 weeks is 24 lbs - I was really happy with that weight loss!
Bigger picture! = You've done well!
I have worked my socks off some weeks and only lost 2 lbs which sometimes is dissapointing for all that extra work, but on the other hand patience pays off in the end. I am averaging aprox 2 lbs a week and have lost 73 lbs in 38 weeks.
Just remember this is for the rest of your life and there are no quick fixes just be patient with your body and stay focused on that all important end goal. You will eventually get to where you need to be.
2lbs ...go you!
