My other half says he supports me with my weight loss goal. Saying that I sent him to the shop to get milk this morning, he came back with bacon, eggs, English muffins, oj, and milk. Despair! Does anyone else have this problem? I know he's trying to do something nice by making me breakfast but I've had to say no and feel really bad

Let him poach 2 eggs and serve with 1 toasted English muffin split in half. Yummy brekkie! About 200 calories
I'd have egg and bacon, without the muffin.
I have a feeder hubby too. Snapped at him the other day. Regretted it. Hes so hard wired to ask if I want anything. I'm learning that I can control me but not him. I ask him to help me and even cried. so, I don't want him to change. I love him and we've been very happily married for thirty years.....I've bought low cal stuff that he can make me...chocolate options or even better fruit teas....(I'm getting into those now, thank Ruth) let me know how you get on! Good luck.
My hubby has done this in the past, he had his bacon and eggs fried and I grilled my bacon and cut of all fat and had one poached egg on one slice of the muffin and it was yummy and didn't feel like I was eating any different from him.
It is frustrating when you have a hubby who doesn't need to lose weight. Although he has been eating very similar to me as it's easier to make one meal for us all, he actually said he feels more energetic and not as bloated which has helped keep me motivated.
Good luck.
I don't have another half, do a grilled cooked breakfast once a week, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon and fried egg ( I use an olive oil spray) and a mini half baguette!
I tend to use this as my main meal that day, and make it as healthy as poss, love it tho!
All those things are fine if done in the right way. Lovely poached egg on half a muffin would have been fine.
Perhaps your hubby doesn't know what is healthy or not. Involve him in your plan and ask him to help you. He would probable love to think you are doing it together and this will make it easier when you eat together.
I have tried to make it a family thing when I do food, then everyone is eating healthily and sharing the joy with you.
Hope you have a great week.
