Have never run/jogged in my life until today. Downloaded the C25K app and did Day 1 today and feel really good that, at 53, I actually managed it! Has anyone else given it a go?

Have to say that my knees were sore after I did it but not feeling too bad now. Will have to see how I get on repeating it in a couple of days!

Good luck. Well done for starting it. I'm sure if you've done the first day you'll be ok. I should try again, I'm waiting for the evenings to get a bit darker so I feel a bit hidden!!

Thats FANTASTIC - I am 53 as well and I am planning to start C25K once I have dropped some weight and my knees and feet can handle it.

I am too heavy right now (134 kilos) to jog but I am walking (and sweating) like a demon.

One of my knees is threatening to go on strike so have to get an x-ray and ultrasound I have a lot planned for it over the next 12 months and its not allowed to quit THIS early into my program.

My goal is to run the 2016 Sydney City To Surf in August next year.

Congrats on Day 1 - thats fantastic - I bet you feel good for it as well!

There is a group on here for C25K as well.

I'm a bit older than you and I used to run when I was younger - always cycled - but after the shove given by the 12 week prog -'Hey lard arse - you need to exercise' well thats what I herd anyway! I've got back into it - nearly got the point of expecting to run daily but I'm now running silly distances and feeling much much younger as a result! Hope you get as much out of it!
