today is the best day. Seriously, any day is fine, you'll need to book an induction session, any decent gym will insist on it. Even people who look slim have to start gradually and build up, so don't wait and good luck
@fussybird took the words right out of my mouth - today IS the best day to do it. And if not today then tomorrow is a close second.
Its works better when you exercise often on this programme so its up to you HOW often and how much you do that.
I agree with Fussybird. Go as soon as possible. Take the advice they offer and have fun! I know it is not easy to go in the first time. But Istanbul gets much better after that. Enjoy your day🌞
Hello I forgot to say if you cannot face the gym then, if you have not already done so, look at the NHS live well website. I particularly like the Strength and Flexibility program and this got me started on daily exercise last October. I didn't join a gym myself until February but I wish I had done so earlier.
Defo join sooner rather than later. First time is hardest but it does get easier. I go in the morning for it opening and its quieter, i try and go about 4 times a week. Good luck
Don't be put off........ there will be all shapes sizes and abilities what you need is staying power I hate the gym itself but love their classes included in my membership so use those, good luck and let us know how you get on!
Greetings Hello 1...
Agreeing with Dave and fussybird. You can start slowly -- at your own pace. You will find the right times, the amount of times too. After the gym session you will feel marvelous.
I go 2 times a week, and after my vacation in the States, will go more often.
I am all for exercise and joined a gym myself. Did three months but now do all my exercise at home. High intensity interval training plus weights 4 times a week first thing in a morning while fasted. Saves money and time as I can do a really hard workout in45-50 mins.
Look on line for advice. Google Joe Wicks for good interval training u tube videos and plenty of on line advice re weight training. I don't mean body building. I do lots of reps with lighter weights. Don't need a lot of equipment I got a £30 set of vinyl weights from Argos and a cheap £30 foldaway bench from Amazon.
It does take a fair bit of self discipline to keep on training hard at home and may not suit everyone. Just an option for you to consider.
