Next Monday I am off to Liverpool with a friend for a few days on a sightseeing/shopping jolly. Does anyone know of any nice eating places to go to for our evening meals that is reasonable in price and, more importantly, offers a nice range of healthy food?
The week after next I am off to Blackpool to the Winter gardens to see 'Cats' and would like to know if anyone could reccomend a nice eaterie there too.
Not asking for much am I, lol. Any (nice) suggestions gratefully received. ππ

Hi,
My last visit to Liverpool I had lunch at Revolution they did a skinny burger with a few sweet potato wedges and a mock cocktail ( I had a proper cocktail for the same price.)I can't think of cals but am sure it was on the menu.
Revolution was down on the dock over from Liverpool One.
Have a good time

Thankyou Flossie358, I will check Revolution out online. π
Hey Shelley, it's my hometown where you staying? There are some lovely places and the prices can be great with codes or getting there early for the fixed price menus. I'd recommend to stay away from eating in Liverpool one as it's overpriced - lovely to sit on a nice evening though.
Look up sugarvine Liverpool on Google for offers.
Bold street has s some nice places for lunch and duke st has a row of different style restaurants. Japanese, Mexican and Il forno is a lovely Italian with a great price lunch menu and AMAZING in-house made ice cream. The tiramisu is to die for! And you can call in and just get a scoop without actually having to eat there.
The dock is nice, especially if the weather is nice, but can be pricey. I totally agree with flossie about the revolution being a good choice - there is another revolution on wood st too, it's nice in there. I recently went to Millar and Carter's on the dock. An amazing steakhouse. I had the three course fixed price menu and thought it was an absolute bargain (for the food quality and location)
Lark lane is a nice place to visit, loads of places to eat - Google it.
One of my favourites is the tavern and co on smithdown road - a short cab ride or bus ride from the city centre. It's Mexican and has a fab atmosphere. It's recently been extended and Tuesday night is live band night. That might be a fun to do, but it can get really busy. If you get there before 7 (I think) you can get the fixed price menu and then be finished in time for the music. If that's not your thing there are loads of bars within a short distance. Defo check it out online though. The breakfasts there are fab too!
Hope you have a great time x
We're staying at The Nadler, on Seel St. Never been to Liverpool before to visit - only to pass through on the way elsewhere. Thankyou purplegoose, I will certainly check out some of the places you have recommended π
