Just joined and have about 3 stone to loose any advice where to start and what to do about sweet cravings

Focus on what you are going to get rather than what you have to loose.

Get a photo of you at your ideal weight and keep it where you'll see it every day.

Read Michael Mosely's book on the 5:2 diet and watch the Eat, Fast and Live Longer issue of Horizon on the iplayer.

Get some really good scales - the weight watchers ones at about £30 from Argos are reputed to be accurate and consistent - when you loose weight these tell up how many grams you've lost since yesterday!

Cutting right down - eliminating really - carbs teaches you the difference between a sugar low and hunger.

Enjoy loosing weight! its easier than you might think.

Drink plenty of water - I like fizzy water!

Have fun with it and reward yourself for being healthy!

I've found cherries good for my sweet craving. bit more expensive than chocolate though. Good luck
