Week 4 weigh in

Again I haven't lost anything, I have counted every calorie that has gone in my mouth, and still eat less than the recommended 1200 calories a day. As I have over 3 stone to lose I thought I might of lost more than the 6 lbs in total. Where am I going wrong? . I read all the posts and know that there are others out there that have the same problem, and they are my inspiration to carry on.

It might have been said already, but you might not be eating enough calories hun. Your body will go into starvation mode if you don't eat enough, and hold onto everything you eat. I've got 4st to lose and I struggled to stick to 1200, or 1400, so I've set myfitnesspal at 1700 calories a day. The last week I have eaten between 1200 and 1600 each day and lost 4lbs. Feel a lot less deprived and haven't done any exercise.

Perhaps give it a go and see how it pans out over the week. Good luck x

Hi I will give it a go and try and eat nearer 1400 calories and see what happens this week. You had a good week loosing 4lbs good luck with this week

Thanks LynFS. I've just read my post back, and it sounds like its a good thing I haven't exercised,it really isn't lol. Had loads on, and didn't make time to get out there, not bragging.

Hopefully this week will be different, OH has sorted my bike out, and the weather is good, so no excuse really, have to get out there.

I'm just finishing a case for work, and it's all I can think about at the last bit before kids and OH get home and want attention, have to put myself first once this is done (before starting the next one).

I agree that you may be eating too little; if so, your body will hang onto its fat stores and you won't lose any weight. You could try eating 12-1400 and see if that changes things for you.... Good luck with your weight loss :-)

Perhaps you need to have a look at the types of foods you are eating? For many people weight loss/gain can be hugely affected by the amount of insulin in your system.
