Oh yes, you will succeed x
Well I'm going to try for sure. I thinking of working an idea which is based on something I read recently. The original idea is to put a pebble (or similar) into a jar for every pound you lose. I'm thinking that every time I'm inclined to walk to the 'fridge or biscuit cupboard, I might put a pebble in a jar. The hope is, that in that dangerous 'split second' the action of doing something else might save me and I will have a visual record of my successes. Add to that the obvious of course, such as have a drink of water. It might be a mad idea but I think I'll give it a go.
I hope you have a successful day Let us know how it goes won't you, good or bad?
That's a good idea, and you're right, it's that split second decision that can make or break a good day. A visual reminder is harder to ignore. I'll let you know, of course, you do the same. I'm finding posting on here a brilliant distraction from snacking, so far. I know there will be challenges ahead. We usually don't drink during the week, and let loose Fri, Sat and Sunday, but I'm considering a couple of gin & slims instead of a bottle of wine tonight as that'll keep me within my calories. I haven't been swimming or walking this week, so no bonus calories to absorb extras. I love the feeling I get when I complete the total for the day on myfitnesspal and it tells you what you'd weigh in 5 weeks if every day was like today. Yesterday it told me I'd be 13st 2lbs in 5 weeks if I had the same calorie intake. That would be a stone off, so thinking about that constantly for motivation too. Then I'll focus on the next stone, and so on x
The swap of wine for G & Slim sounds a good move. myfitnesspal is a useful tool I agree. I didn't walk this morning either, planning for Aussie relatives coming to eat on Sunday. Checking in later - I must work!! BTW just found out via Twitter its National Cream Tea day - but I'm passing on that. I want to lose this belly more than I want a cream tea lol
