Hi Nikkib75,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear that your partner is ill, and I hope the outcome of the test results will be available soon - hopefully you have good support from the medical people involved, and can discuss the results with them to decide on the best way forward.

Comfort eating is challenging, and I've done it before myself, and still do sometimes. I would like to recommend that you look at the NHS weight loss pages, as there is a 12 week structured plan that you might find helpful. It can help you to look at ways to eat healthily and exercise, in order to feel better in yourself as a result of that.

Here is the link:

nhs.uk/Livewell/weight-loss...

Quite a few people on here are following that plan, and they have reported feeling healthier and fitter as a result, and have noticed their weight go down as the weeks go by.

This is a supportive and friendly forum, and I hope you'll enjoy being a part of it.

Wishing you a good week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Hi there, I hear you with the comfort eating. I can graze all day and then not want much dinner, doh! I've found its day by day, and mostly willpower. Its normal to forgive ourselves that one snack won't hurt, or two or three lol.

Be kind to yourself, each time you can delay a comfort snack, be smug that you've managed it.

Good luck hun, there's loads of friendly peeps here :-)

well done, 1 unhealthy snack is good, especially when you're feeling stressed and worried.

Keep it up, results show in a few weeks. Not fair really, a good morning of dieting should yield at least a stone off in my mind lol
