nhs.uk/livewell/loseweight/... this worked for me
I've lost about half a person by now.
I'm not on a specific diet but count my calories. Depending on how much exercise I do I eat between 1200 and 1800 calories a day and walk 4 to 10 miles.
I've lost about 30kg since November...
Good luck!
Im with foodie. I am not on a diet Im on a lifestyle change. I eat what I want but stay within the 1200 to 1800 calories. When I say I eat what I want, mainly its a LCHF diet but watching the fat content as well as the carbohydrates. I do eat out occassionaly but treat that as a treat day and stay within the 1800 calories for that day and drop the calories/increase the exercise the next few days to make up for the treats.
Hey i found watching my intake and cutting junk to a minimum (moderation seems to be key) and increased activity works for me. Its about finding what fits into your lifestyle and works for you
The NHS 'plan' is a good place to start.
I feel it also pays to have a good think about yourself and what your personal issues are around food and eating and activity - why you ended up overweight.
Yes thank you for your reply, i find self thinking to be a great thing.. i usually look in the mirror when doing so, stand there having a long talk with myself telling myself what i need to do and how to get around it
I know what you mean i've done it myself, dieted lost 3 stone then over 16months put on 4stone, so this time, its a thought out process ive put in place for myself, and one of my main fears if this does not work is just becoming another statistic (which i DON'T want
