Welcome
I like it that you said ONLY 5 stone to lose - that's a good trick as it makes it seem even more achievable. It is achievable - it may help you to set mini-goals e.g recognise every 7 lbs lost rather than just looking far ahead to the ultimate goal.
It's best to make sustainable changes - reduce carbs (especially sugar), eat more veg, snack only when you're hungry, drink more water and don't eat a lot late in the evening. I'm on week 10 of the healthy eating plan, I feel great and I've lost over 2 stone - so, like I said, it is achievable
Good luck. Your toes await you!
Thanks
Well done for getting started. Like you my big problem is portion control. I started off the NHS 12 week plan by having to weigh everything I ate, but now I've got my eye in so I can see roughly what the correct portion should be.this is especially true of things like cereal, because I now know what level of the bowl the cereal should come up to.
Good luck
Hi. Well done - just getting started is sometimes the biggest hurdle. The app Cook & Count is great for portion control / calorie awareness - you can see how many calories, fat, carbs etc, are in any weighed portion, or a divided portion. It makes it easy to home cook, which is much healthier and gives you loads more control, and get the same kind of info as you get on the label in the supermarket. Good luck with it all.
