Have just had great week in Spain with friends! Yep - enjoyed the food - enjoyed the drink! I was 73 kg before I left (target weight!). Weighed in yesterday at 75.5kg - 2.5kg over target weight (but still within normal BMI range). Ate and drank really well yesterday! This morning weighed in at 74kg! Felt great! Didn't go to gym yesterday as totally shattered but had managed over 16,000 steps for 3 days in Spain! Have been reasonably good today - but out for lunch with family (Salad Nicoise) - but still feeling full - let's see if I can cope without evening meal (or something very low cal later) and see what tomorrow brings! PS daughter said I looked lovely today - so sweet!

Spain!
That's great. They say the first couple of days after flying we hold onto some water weight..... ( so i usually don't weigh for 5 days after my return 😉) . But if you've had a good time, not gone without, and still only 1kg over then you don't need to worry one jot. Another week and you'll most likely shed that .
I like one week holidays best. ...damage limitation!!
My holiday weight usually comes off a bit easier, just get back into the grove,😃 glad you had a great time
Feeling good! 73.4kg this morning - just 0.4kg to go and I'm back on target!
I find that when I go on holiday or a short break, allowing myself a blow out isn't the end of the world. I always put weight on whether water or fat I don't really know. What does happen is that if I am strict following the holiday I can usually lose all the weight gained and then lose even more, usually within a week. This happens every time so not a fluke. I think a blowout now and again kickstarts your metabolism. No science to back this up but ALWAYS works for me. I do mean really strict on return though. going all inclusive to Madeira for two weeks in a few days. I will be careful but fully expect to put some weight on but I'm confident that I can quickly lose it again. 11 months into my weight loss and 6 1/2 stone down.
