I've been stuck hovering at the 63.8kg mark for the last ten days. Am feeling really demotivated and want to eat a lot of chocolate and drink a lot of wine

You're not losing weight, but you're not gaining either, so not that's not that bad!
Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!
Thanks. I've had the MFP app on my phone since 2012 and have just started using it again this week.
I've been a member on here for a while and have read and contributed to a few posts but this is the first time I've felt the need to start a post myself.
Stay on track then, you've probable achieved a lot and don't want to ruin it now, It's good that you wrote a post on the site, as you know people are very helpful and supportive!

Dont do it! if you do that you will only be further away from your goal. We all plateau at some point and this is yours, try adjusting what you are eating and what exercising you are doing as our bodies get used to routines after about 4 weeks or so, change things up and stay strong, remember how far you have come already and dont give up on yourself. That's good advice. I started calorie counting again this week (rather than Slimming World which I had been doing before) but it's not really helping. I know I need to be patient but am really not feeling it today!
It might just be taking time for the weight to come off - I know it can make you feel low but it sounds like you're doing brilliantly! Don't give up =)
You'll eat the chocolate, drink the wine and then eat more chocolate. That's what happens to me, so I've stopped drinking as I let it all hang out then. When there's nothing to hang out I shall open a bottle of champagne. Hic!
Keep going, you will come to a point eventually when you will start to gain muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat so keep goingxxx
Hi, we all have difficult days & don't always get the weight loss we would like. It's trying not to give up, I know I personally can't eat chocolate otherwise I can't stop & I only want more. Taking a day at a time helps, planning my meals and only weighing myself once a week. Good luck believe in yourself, you can do this.

Hi, I've got a bit stuck too, so lets not give in together! If you feel you need a treat, then have one if you can stop at one. If not have a cuppa and go bed. You will be pleased you did.

Oh think I'm replying a bit late, but here's my 'you're not alone!' anyway (:@ I'm a bit 'stuck' at the moment too, I seem to have been 62.something kg for about 2 weeks, been dieting for 6 weeks. Trying to lose baby weight and weight gained from comfort eating when I went back to work and really missing my baby. I did slack off counting calories properly recently, and was sort of guessing based on what I'd been eating previously; plus I had a day 'off' when the weather got nice and my sister suggested a BBQ accompanied by Prosecco! However, when I added up what I've already lost (5kg) , which I'm really pleased with, I decided not to be plagued by guilt, and just to get back in the saddle despite the small blips. Planning to buy myself a nice non-food reward when I get to 60kg (aiming for 58kg based on my height), what about you? Glad you're remotivated too, good luck!
Hi Alex, I'm 164cm. When I went to the NHS BMI calculator, they calculated it'd be best if I aimed to be 58.5kg (I started the diet at 68kg, officially 'overweight'), which would put me right in the middle of the 'healthy weight' range. If you go to the NHS diet start page and scroll down a bit, on the right is a BMI calculator:

If you put in your height and your original 'overweight' weight, they tell you how much you need to lose to be right in the middle of the 'healthy weight' range. That's how I calculated my target weight (originally I just intended to get to say 60kg but they suggested losing more to comfortably be a 'healthy weight'). Hope that makes sense!
Ps 58kg is probably the lightest I've been as an adult, many many many MANY moons ago!
Have one day when you eat mega loads of chocolate, and drink so much wine you cannot remember eating the chocolate! Then just start the diet again.
Believe me I know that feeling and it is hard to break the habit hence my sitting here writing to you and reading posts, I'm getting weighed tomorrow morning and I don't want to blow my "good" work of past few days, yes I've had blips and felt really down but I'm back up again. My choc fix is going to be the white choc Options drink [ 40cals] and a banana after, I'm looking forward to it. Love white choc but this will satisfy me. Try it! Just realised this post is quite a few days late but hopefully it is still helpful.
Thanks for your suggestion. Had a complete blow out weekend and unsurprising put on weight. Feeling better today and hopefully will have a good week.
Give yourself a few days then weigh yourself again, it could just have been fluid gain rather than fat insitu. I left it a day after my blow out and were as it had been 2lb gain the next day it was only 1lb fat gain but I've really got my act together at the moment so whilst in positive mode am really going for it. Good luck for the week. Stick with it, we all have blow outs but getting back up is the main thing!
