Hi I am in my early 20s and I have ibs. I'm really struggling to loose the weight because no matter what I eat my tummy hurts. Is anyone on the same boat? How have you managed? I want 10kg off? But I probably will be on a healthy bmi with just 5kg? Any advice?

Hey i have ibs, mines reacts under stress, but everybodies different. Do you know what triggers yours? I have found that healthy eating has managed to settle mine mostly. If i were you i would use trial and error to find what triggers it, if it seems to be all foods i would go to you gp they can give you meds to settle it. Peppermint is supposed to help sooth it as well
This looks like a good sensible plan for weight loss. I too have ibs which seems to have got worse since the removal of my gall bladder last year. It's a case of trial and error for me to see what works and what irritates the system. Hope you can find what works for you. Just keep on trying.
Try keeping a food diary to see if you can identify what is upsetting your stomach.
Foods like wheat and dairy can sometimes be a problem.
Have you talked to your doctor about this?
