Hi Sue! I'm starting today too! Let's take it a day at a time and support each other!! Are you planning on doing exercise as well as dieting? I need to psyche myself up to do an hour's exercise today...
Hi Missylissy79, Hope your first day went well, mine did. Walked the dog for about 45 minutes, which I do everyday anyway, but I walked quick and really got my heart beating faster! I joined a zumba class in October and its the only exercise class I really enjoy, I dance around feeling like an uncoordinated idiot but its such fun, I really recommend it if you don't enjoy exercise.

I'm not starting today, but I just wanted to wish you the best with starting the plan. Are you doing the NHS 12 week structured plan? I know people do different things, but I think it's a good plan and has some great advice.

Hi Lowcal, thank you. yes I'm doing the NHS 12 week plan. I'm not very good at sticking to diets but, at the moment, I'm every motivated! Hows yours going?

Hi Sue,
I had a chest infection in February, so ended up 'comfort eating' a bit then, and put on about half a stone, so trying to get that off again now to get back on track.
What I like about the NHS plan is that it seems more like an eating plan you can stick to for life, rather than a strict diet plan. I hope you'll find it easier than you anticipate. You sound very motivated, and I think that's half the battle.

Hi Midali, I've not tried WW, I get bored easily and so dieting isn't normally for me, I do already do a reasonable amount of exercise, but must stop eating inbetween meals! Good luck.
Dieting isnt my thing either as I watched my Mum yo-yo diet for years and I know its not good! One thing I did like with WW (first and last diet) though was keeping a food diary, so I've started that again My BMI is 26 so I'd like to get back down to healthy especially as Ive got a rather big birthday next year :0!

I'm starting today! I have about 2 stone to lose. I'm using myfitnesspal, cutting back calories, and increasing my exercise. I hope that by the end of these 12 weeks I'll be at my goal. Good luck to everyone!! We CAN do it!!

I started yesterday and had a good first day! Feeling really motivated this time round. I exercise a lot and my diet is fairly healthy but I graze a lot and love tea and biscuits! I also don't get enough sleep (usually 6 hours) which doesn't help. I've put 10lb on since Christmas and I really need to loose 20lb. My target is to loose 14lb over the 12 weeks. The myfitnesspal app is very good and easy to use.
Me too I started yesterday and had a good day, and am feeling very motivated. I exercise a lot too but it doesn't seem to stop me from putting on weight, I am tall so can put on quite a lot before I realise I've got huge. I need to lose nearly 2 stone and like you am hoping I will shift the first stone on this 12 week plan. I stopped smoking 18 months ago and am aware that I nibble and graze instead of smoking now, so I'm being really strict about recording everything I eat, and I'm not drinking any alcohol for the first 2 weeks. Im using myfitnesspal too it is great, so easy with the barcode reader. Good luck!
It's the grazing, and the tea and biscuits, which are causing the problem! How about the old advice 'don't eat between meals'?
Starting today too. 4st to lose. Want to exercise more but just so tired at the end of the day. My job is sitting on my backside all day. Need motivation as I know from the past exercise is the way to go. Here goes. 12 weeks - 4 st. Can it be done???
I have about 3 st to loose since I stopped smoking last year, I, now seem to be addicted to junk food, I also have athritis in my knee I lost about 2 st last year before I stopped smoking and my athritis never bothered me, but now I"ve put this extra stone on my knee is painfull again, I am really struggling to get back on the sraight and narrow .
How do i get the weight loss plans please
