Hiya I too started on 1st of Jan... up to my last weigh in last thursday I have lost 11 lbs... I suffered with bloating... I cut out bread, buscuits all white pasta's ... 99% of cheese milk products and only use virgin olive oil... lots of fresh fish chicken and skinless pork... and very rarely red meat... I have weighed my food and written down ever mouth full... then in time you will be able to judge your correct food intake... and place small goals for yourself... eg my first goal is 18lbs in 12 weeks... and above all else don't loose hope... there are lots of people here to give extra encouragement...xx

Excellent, well done! You are on the right road, and you are an example to me.

I will not lose heart, just weight!

Excellent, I am please someone else has cut out all flour and white processed food to get rid of the bloating, I lost about 8cms in bloating when I first stopped all bread biscuits and white pasta, amazing how much it affects out health. So like you I am only eating clean fresh foods, but made the mistake of eating frozen berries in my smoothies, then cam the Hepatitis A scare from frozen berries. So now only fresh berries for me and anything in season because then I know it is fresh.

Well done, keep going, sounds like you are in control of this weight loss game, excellent news, I'm still trying to get there, but good luck and keep going

Hi Bernie

good work, keep it rolling off the weight that is. It is hard work, but will be worth it, I just feel so much clearer in my thinking since dropping the cakes, biscuits and flour things as well as pasta out of my diet, much clearer thinking, just need these muscles to realise how much healthier they are and work harder too, had a walk yesterday and a Pilates stretching today, so gradually getting into the exercise, which is the only way to go really, just harder to do, keep on the right side of the weighing machine, downwards, take care and good luck

Good advice. But would you clarify one thing for me: what is 'bloating'? Is this a new word for wind?

I see all these adverts on TV about 'bloating' and I wonder whether people are embarrassed to mention wind or whether it means something else (i.e. feeling full/something similar to water retention).

Not what you're looking for?
