Thank you Trier, it,s horrible isnt it. Aging parent with dementia in hospital doesn,t help. Walking him was my bit of peace. However i must get off my sorry butt and get walking again. Good idea drag the other half out on lead and play fetch. Lol xx

Oh God love you..... I totally understand...... my mam passed away last August she was in hospital for three months which meant long, sometimes very emotional stints at the hospital ( not that I begrudge a second of it, it was a privilege ) and prior to that she was bed bound at home with all that entails ! but some days I'd slip lil out on the lead and go for a walk in the 'fresh' air.....just watching her running and playing pepped me up.... No illness, no stress, just freedom with my baby......

If you're husbands not amenable to having a lead on ( ha ha ha ) stick a toy dog on a lead and drag that !!!!! Sorry, just being silly to try and make you smile !!

Love

I went walking with a group of people yesterday. We had two dogs with us. Great fun - the retriever was trying to drag every fallen tree (no matter how big) along on the walk. He, obligingly, cooled us all down by jumping into a stream then shaking himself thoroughly. Luckily it was clean water.

The walk was only spoiled by one thing - the cafe we called into in a very rural town wouldn't allow the dogs inside (claiming that they'd get mud all over) despite the cafe having an easily cleaned tiled floor and allowing 12 humans in wearing muddy boots. Go figure.

Look on the bright side - the hissy pissy rainwater will be clean too. :)

You know what it is; germs ! Nasty smelly dogs are full of germs !!! My dog has less germs on her than some cafes I been in ! Everyone's a germaphobe now aren't they.... and as you say muddy boots, the floor would've needed cleaning anyway....

I think it more likely to have been the goods on display on the way through the 'shop' area to the cafe. Lots of bottles of beer, whisky, gin, etc all perfectly placed for a misplaced waggy tail!

Aaah I see ! Yes, they will wag those wiggly tails won't they :)

Last dog I had (cross between an alsation and a border collie) sent countless mugs flying off coffee tables. He seemed to take pleasure in it. I'm sure, after the first few, it wasn't accidental.
