The Way I See It

Day One and I've messed up already... I knew this would happen. My drama teacher gave me a bar of Lindt chocolate to say thank you for helping her out at an open evening, and it would've been rude to say no, right? Right? Even though I split it with four of my friends, its still a ridiculous amount of calories compared to what I was supposed to eat today. Oops!

However, the way I see it, the fact I've acknowledged that this was a bad decision, and regret it now, is a step in the right direction. At least, I hope so.

And now I'm off to take several more steps in the right direction, in the form of my first session of Couch to 5K! It's snowing outside, so treadmill it is.

I hope you're all having a brilliant day, and you haven't messed up like I have. If you have, meh, it's whatever. There's always tomorrow :)

Wish me luck! x

This is why it's about much more than simply numbers on the bathroom scales, it's also about learning to cope with situations such as these and there will be many more I am sure. At least you recognised the threat and did your best to neutralise it by dispersing it to your friends, it could have been worse you could have eaten the whole lot yourself. Learn from it and you'll cope better next time I am sure, for now draw a line under it and whatever you do, do not associate guilt with it, move on :) GL with C25K

oh dear, we all have them, but its early, if this happens again, or something similar, accept the gift and give it away asap, temptation, hence why I said earlier don't have the items in, I too can easily eat them, your human.

A little bit of chocolate isnt going to be the end of the world, you had a little bit and now your off to exercise dont beat yourself up over it. I still have takeaway once a week and am successfully still losing weight. Be proud of the fact that you limited the amount you ate and your going out for a run!! Go you!!

There are certain situations in life where you simply cannot refuse to eat or take food from people. It's a sad fact of life. Friends will always ask you out for dinner, people will always give you chocolate as a present. Like OlsBean says it's how you cope with it that matters and it sounds like you did well to share it out and now going to do some exercise will help compensate for it!

Well done and definitely don't lose hope! :)
