Enjoy! Where are you going? Carsington Water is challenging and I am not cycling it any more. Ladybower is lovely, as are the Monsal and High Peak Trails. The Manifold Trail I have issues with after a spectacular fall which has left a dent in my thigh still visible getting on for 18 months later.

not done carsington for about 7 years so the 19 odd miles round it mite be a bit far lol we will do about a 10 mile trip from a village to witton mill and back

It's not that far round Carsington - it's not even 19 in kilometres (you can now stay off roads completely too). It's the steep descents with speed bumps and sharp turns at the bottom, and being busy that are the problem. The trip you are doing is where I came a-cropper. Just don't go too fast (I was sort of showing off to my elder son that I could go as fast as him (due to battery assist!) and it is very narrow in places. Beautiful though!

well i must be thinking of somewhere else then but i will go round it soon with my son and get him to set his trip meter on his bike lol

Great idea...thanks...just pumped up my tyres and waiting for the rain to stop and I'm going to push it up the hill and cyle around the lanes. Great to do different things to exercise isn't it? I get bored very easily with the same thing.

Hope you have ( had) a great time.
