Hi Ive just joined here as I have been doing the couch to 5K (I can now run 5k and have been running for 9 weeks.) In that time I have put ON 3kg! how did that happen????
I thought exercising every other day for 30 minutes a time, would mean I would loose some weight.

You may have lost some weight but you could have gained some muscle and muscle actually weighs more than fat, to put it blunt, I wondered that when I gained 6Ibs, I went from 143Ibs to 149Ibs and asked why since I had been doing 20mins of exercise in the morning and then going gym as well and he said it is probably due to muscle mass increasing slightly and told me I shouldn't worry unless I gain like ten times that amount in 1 week.
I know that feeling when I got weighed last and found out I had gained 6lbs, I felt even bigger than I had before, I think it's just finding a balance between exercising and eating healthy and trying not to gain to much muscle mass, I've started to do a lot more swimming because it is non-weight bearing, you lose weight but you don't gain any muscle mass either, it's just a suggestion because obviously if you feel uncomfortable swimming then don't because you should feel comfortable doing things.
That's a good thing that you see your belly smaller.
