I'm sticking to a healthy eating and exercise plan but I still can't loose more than a couple of pounds a month. Could anybody give me some tips?

It is great to lose a few pounds a month; no need to lose massively every month. Patience and perseverance will get you there.
Over sized portions? Going off track to much? Or just over eating slightly?
Are you measuring inches too? You may be toning up because of the exercise.
2 lb a month... 24 in one year! and gone forever... not like the 4 lb a week that come back as soon as you look at food!
