That's really tough, Daisycoco, I'm sorry you are feeling so low. I should think 1200 cals will keep your weight moving in the right (downwards) direction but it looks as though it is more important to find something that will make you feel a little brighter and happier. Are you depressed because of your weight or because life in general is getting you down? Let me know if you want to write more about how you feel.

Hi Daisycoco,

Sorry to hear you've been feeling depressed over the past two weeks. Maybe there are some things you can do in the house to still do some exercise. Sometimes I go up and down the stairs for about 5 minutes or so - it gets my heart beating and tones the legs. Not sure if you have stairs or not, but if you do - they are very good for exercising!

I realise you may not feel like it, but doing anything for at least 5 minutes can be a success, and you might find you feel a bit better and want to do it for longer. Then you might feel like going out - and that would be really great, as you might feel better for having been out.

Hope you have had a good day so far.

Lowcal :-)

How about just going for a walk outdoors? That counts as exercise even though it might not feel like it.

Thanks for advice after speaking out i decided to have a little walk with my daughter it did me good.just hope i can do it again tomorrow.thanks for support from everyone.

Well done Daisycoco! I thought you were being amazing, just sticking to the diet whilst feeling depressed. Others may have gone for the chocolate- me included. The fact that you went for a walk is just brilliant. You know probably already that when you feel depressed it takes 100 times the effort just to move than it would do normally. Unfortunately, now is the time to fight it, because that exercise will make you well, even if you just manage to run up the stairs instead of walking, take a walk with your daughter. Each time you do that, it's one in the eye for the 'black dog'- a good book, if you'd like to read it.

Not what you're looking for?
