Hey Kez17 totally hear you - I agree with the other reply make your GOAL around enjoying eating well and caring for your body. For me I focus on fat loss, so shape change and being comfortable with me, though disclaimer I have lost alot of weight and am on the last part of my journey so this took time.
So, I plan to have food that I enjoy, I plan to go to the gym / work out and have fun, changing my routine at times to be adventurous, for example trying a new Thai Fit class this week with a friend and expecting to be hopelessly uncoordinated, but no doubt I (and she) will have a laugh!
I celebrate the little changes with nice non foodies rewards, this has included a wee spa treatment, a nice new lip gloss and some new containers for my protein shakes. Small things that bring some sparkle to the "I am focused, intentional on looking after me gig" otherwise it becomes a chore, you dont like it and you dont keep at it Looking forward to seeing your progress over time BEST of ENCOURAGEMENT to you
The NHS 12 week eight loss plan is very good and I would recommend it to anybody, I have been on it and have lost a stone in weight, and have also done lots of walking too just round the houses etc, I am still working with it, as I still have a few more pound to lose.
If you're trying to lose weight, focus on reducing your calorie intake. For most of us that means eating and drinking less, and swapping high-calorie foods for lower calorie foods. You will make the most gains by watching your diet however, exercise can help support your weight loss by helping you burn more calories (so long as you don't over-eat as a result). Good luck.
