Hi I'm searching for gym routines to lose weight, can anyone help?
From reading the website my guess is I would need to do 30 minutes treadmill followed by some weights, is that right?

Gym will boost weight loss, weights will tone you up nicely, but if you ran a marathon you would lose 1lb in weight so cutting food intake and calories is key, good luck, I do body pump classes for tone, spin for fat burn, and Zumba just cos I love it!
Hopefully you are following the 12 week plan to lose weight. For exercise, if you are not currently doing much why not try couch to 5k. You can do it outside or on a treadmill. there are exercises you can do on the website as well to avoid paying gym fees.
Losing weight mainly depends on how much you eat. Exercise is essential though for health and well-being. At least 30 min. on most days a week is necessary, and your program should include both weight training and cardio.
Absolutely. Depends how active you already are - office job or on your feet? My job involves 3hours constant walking a day, so I do the "steps". However I still walk and cycle for pleasure on a weekend. plus as much tai chi as I can manage -and the amount varies according to how I feel at the time.
This came through from Myfitnesspal a few days ago. Might be worth considering. It's been truly said the beat gym equipment is your own body. You don't need fancy kit.

I lost weight 6 years a go was told a rowing machine is the one that burns most cals and tones you best probably why I keep weight off for so long I use my rowing machine three times a week with 2 to 3 times a week jogging or power walking as well and 1 to 2 days off for rest. Never gone back to my old size and people said even with the will power you wont keep it off well I have. I exercise no mater what just do it and get on with it never loss motivation if you fit exercise in to your life and get on with it you will soon get so used it you do it with out even thinking about it. Never been to a gym and I have lost and maintained weight. People where wrong I see a big person and that's enough to put me off being fat for life
