Hi there, you have done so well! Please dont give so much emphasis on the scales, feel pride that you have continued with your efforts, I used to be like this but do not give the scales so much power. Just remeber there will be a loss around the corner. good luck to you and give your self credit for every little thing you do towards your weight loss journey no matter how small.

Thank you that's such a nice and encouraging reply, I will continue I am doing c25k too and getting to the long jogs which I am finding difficult....so just a bit down with it all.....But like you say stop giving the scales the power....I like that thought!

Keep at it! We all plateau from time to time, don't cave in and let the fat win, YOU are in charge see how you will look here - modelmydiet.com/

Don't get down, I didn't lose when I started C25K but as you say body shape changes. My understanding is that with increased exercise we make more muscle which is denser than fat and therefore may not show a weight lose to start with. Revel in your new shape and look forward to it getting better. C25K is brilliant and if you are struggling with the longer runs just take it a bit slower - I am very slow! Good luck

If I look at the scales( and I do!) and then am discouraged by very slight or nil loss the 2 things that have kept me going are trying to look at the trend which is a gentle downward slope- much better than the other direction. And more effective still is the knowledge that the time is passing anyway. I can't stop that happening but I can choose to be a bit fitter or slimmer when another month has passed. I'd rather look back at a fatter me than forward towards one even ifthe present version isnt perfect. Probably too simplistic really but it helps me.

Don't forget, if you are building up muscle and losing fat, muscle has higher density therefore weighs more. I'm sure you must feel better and thinner, so go with that and kick your scales into touch for a while!!! X.

I was exactly like you. Same weight loss in 5 weeks, then stagnation while my body kept changing. Its bery annoying as you want the scale to change. I kept at it for around three to four weeks and now the weight is coming off again but at a slower rate while my body keeps toning up and changing at a faster rate.

Yep same! Scales are not friends. Keep up the great work. I am finding the run difficult, I just love to do all I can to do the park run/ walk in better time each week. Today was 45 sec slower but next week will be faster and fun to be out with others.41.06 today. All the best
