No need to "diet" - just eat less, fill up with vegetables, reduce fats, eliminate all processed foods, reduce portions size...

Where there is a will there is always a way.Make minor changes to your diet.Eat whole grain food and lots of vegetables and fruits. This will add lot of to your diet roughage which will help to increase your metabolism.Drinking lots of water is another good way of keeping weight in check but what will be most helpful is to watch how many calories you are putting inside the body and how many you are spending.

Chop off a limb, maybe two, and you might have a 10 lb weight loss. Maybe.

Seriously, the only way to loose weight is to watch what you eat and by that I mean eat more fruit and veg, more protein and less sugar, crisps, fat generally (including fat for cooking) and carefully measure everything you eat (especially your carbs) so you can calorie count accurately :) Exercise helps but loosing weight is 85% diet so if you're not into exercise then just watch what you eat and you should loose weight steadily. Nothing will make you loose 10 lbs instantly or within a week - if only ;)

My tip is if you like it eat sushi; it's super low fat and really good for you :)

I lost 20 kilos on the 5:2 Diet in six months and have kept it off since April last year. It's only 'dieting' two days a week. Please watch this programme, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" which will tell you more, and hopefully change your life as it has mine vimeo.com/54089463

5:2 is for people that wish to lose weight while not caring about their health.

Nonsense. Watch the programme.

Maybe you know next to nothing about nutrition? Eating whatever you like for five days and dieting for two is not healthy regardless of how much weight you lose!!!!

Maybe if you watch this you'll understand. youtu.be/W9Aj6hRYg4A You obviously eat healthily on the other days as well. I've never been so healthy or so fit.

Maybe if you really read my comments you will understand....the 5:2 Diet is about eating like you normally do for the five days and then fasting for two by limiting the calories to 500 for women and 600 for men. That Diet does not focus on eating healthy for any of those seven days...You need to get straight in your head what the 5:2 Diet is and not send people to a video that is not the 5:2 Diet. Do you understand a little more now?

I know about eating healthy and I also know about the benefits of fasting whether a significantly reduced number of calories or no eating for some number of hours, usually 16 to 24 hours.

I know exactly what the 5:2 Diet is Richard and it's also called The Fast Diet. Don't be so patronising or rude. I was one of Kate Harrison's first adopters of the 5:2 Diet (she wrote the book after watching the excellent Horizon programme but it's on exactly the same principles) and after losing three stone I have kept it off for over a year by 'fasting' one day a week. It is about eating healthily on every one of the seven days, up to 2000 calories on the other five days, exactly the same as the Fast Diet. Kate's book goes into more detail and there are excellent Facebook groups and we certainly advocate eating healthily. It really does work.

You do not know what you are talking about, which is evidenced by your confusion in your comments...In fact, Kate's book is titled "The 5:2 Diet: Feast for 5 Days, Fast for 2 Days to Lose Weight and Revitalize Your Health." Does feast for five days sound like a natural plant-based diet to you?

That is only the title of the book. I have actually read it and you haven't. I totally object to your tone in various comments you have made. If you keep this up I will report you. Take your nastiness elsewhere.

Not to worry, I will not be on this blog again whether you report me for trying to educate you or not...

Get a sharp knife and cut some fat off without any exercise or dieting will do the trick.

that is not at all helpful or constructive, get a life..

My answer was very constructive, but maybe you do not understand the word diet. You got where you are now because of your diet and lack of exercise but you wish to continue doing the same thing and get difference results....look up the definition of insane! Not that I think you are insane but the point is your are going to have to change your diet at a minimum and a little exercise will help too.
