Hello, I am recovering from disc's and back issues which has laid me up for 3 months resulting in over a stone weight gain which now leaves me obese. The advice I would give you is to check what if any exercises you can do and find it within yourself to eat as healthy as possible. There is no easy solution's, it is about mind over matter and planning and sticking to the rules. You GP should be able to advice you on the appropriate weight loss plan or refer you to a dietician so that you know what much calories you can eat to loose the weight in time. I am trying to follow the 5:2 diet but generally I try and cut the crap out and eat as healthy as possible. Good luck

If you are going to be following this plan then you are going to need to calorie count & portion control.

Quick meals could include pasta with tomato based sauces, jacket potatoes, or grilled meat or fish with lots of veg or salad. Always plan your meals and don't get too hungry. Factor in some100 calorie snacks asyou are prone to picking - see these -nhs.uk/livewell/loseweight/...

and as Odhrain says -check what exercise you can do. Good luck.

Try logging every morsel that passes your lips on MyFitnessPal - it's a free app and website.

I would definitely recommend the 5:2 Diet (youtu.be/W9Aj6hRYg4A). I lost three stone in six months and have maintained the weight loss since April.

If you can walk I would also recommend the Leslie Sansone walking videos on YouTube. If you walk a mile a day (around 15 minutes) using these (such as this one youtu.be/ndVjwkaLGDk) you can burn calories.
