Okay - I started last Thursday and have decided to keep going on week 1 till Sunday so I can start week 2 on Monday. Doing better than I thought I would. I have lost 2kg even though I had a couple of 'bad' days. Think it worked 'cos I followed them by being extra careful the next day and doing a bit more walking. The good news is those TWO kg gone - now to keep them off and add to them.

Thanks - have to admit I was surprised. I do think before eating now, and there are no biscuits or chocolates in the house so that helps

My second week really went to pot. I've had the 'dreaded lurgy' - sore throat, unable to speak, then it all went down into my bronchial tubes and I've had disturbed nights from coughing etc. It seems to be going away now. My weight shot up by more than a kilogram even though I was barely eating - eating anything brought on a fit of coughing, and I just didn't feel like it. I can only assume that my body - especially lungs - was full of fluid. It's going away now and I'm back down to 70.3 kg rather than 71.8 kg. Just over 11 stone. I want to get below it.
