Time to go

Unfortunately, I can't continue posting here as I can't use this site from work due to the recent upgrades and I generally just don't have the time to do it from home.

So, in six months I lost nearly 25% of my body weight and since hitting my target of 80 kgs have stayed at that weight (a little up / a little down) since.

My thoughts at the end of the journey is how important changing your eating habits is. Eat in a "normal" way and your body will adapt to that and become a "normal" weight.

I'll put my hand up that it's been a learning curve discovering what eating in a normal way really means and what it looks and feels like!

Good luck with your weight loss journeys.

Believe me - it IS worth the effort and the perseverance.

'Bye.

It is such a shame that you can't contribute to this community any more because of the problem with earlier versions of Internet Explorer. I have emailed HU (again) to request that they look into this issue as communities are losing valued members.

I really hope you check in at some point in the near future to see if things have improved, but I do understand!

I am not an active member on this forum but read posts like yours often to help keep me motivated. It is very sad to lose such supportive people due to this upgrade.

I wish you all the very best and thank you for your contribution to so many.

Carolyn.

P.S. Badges seem to be appearing cross-community at the moment. I must stress that I am NOT and admin on this community. I am an admin on the Thyroid UK forum but badges are sometimes appearing on other communities causing great confusion!

Hear Hear - to all the other posts - you will be missed. But sometimes it is time to move on. Best of luck and keep that weight off - otherwise you might have to revisit us :-)

Also sad to see you go, your advice, commitment and weight loss have been inspiring. I too have had awful problems getting on the site starting about two weeks ago. I gave up trying in the end. I finally manage to get back on today to a new layout and the news that I am not the only one who has had problems.

Farewell and good luck for the future.

Concerned is right ! Normal behaviour has been super sized in physically terms and the nutritious stuff that was expensive and had a short shelf life swapped for processed profit.

So in actual fact you have had to become - "extra ordinary" to be able to reach and maintain a "healthy" BMI.

The terminology "normal" is just not appropriate for them to use anymore - it has its origins in the measurement of Scottish soldier chest size is 1800s and the normal distribution of the curve. The normal curve has migrated and we should call sub 25 BMI desired or healthy as in many locations it is not statistically normal.

Dear Doikosp,

you were the first person welcoming me to this community and you've helped me a lot. I've had my ups and downs, but overall I kept my weight within the healthy range. Thank you very much for all your time dedicated to me and other fellows in this community.

Thank you.
