I have been tracking my diet and exercise on my fitness pal.... I have gone from really struggling to be motivated, to feeling fully in control and positive. This website community and my fitness pals are the tools I needed!

I completely agree with you Andersn1974 - both are great tools. Over the weekend, I was able to make some sensible choices thanks to both - different choices to those I would normally have made, and still enjoyed myself. Keep it up!
I also have started using fitness pal and agree it helps keep you in control - not tried using the 'community' side of the app yet - is that side of it worth perusing?
I haven't explored the community element of my fitness pal as it only seems to link you with people you know. I feel much happier, and am probably more honest on here where no-one knows me!
I am on my second week of my fitness pal tracking and like you all I am feeling totally in control.
My cal intake for losing 1.5 lbs a week is 1,460 a day. Do any of you add the cals from your exercise? i have not been doing this as just using them as an extra boost for my weight loss.
I have another 5 and half stone to lose and don't want to eat a to low calerie diet because I'm concerned about messing with my metabolism. This is because after years of following and doing so many low cal diets I have finally got my body back "intune" and losing weight at a sensible healthy rate.
