Well, despite (or because of?) of a rather chaotic and stressful home move - which should really have been pretty straight-forward, but wasn't - I've slightly got ahead of my weight loss schedule.
I'm afraid my eating and exercise regimes (and sleep patterns too) have been shot to pieces over the last couple of weeks, but whatever ...
Anyhow, I'm now under 13 stone (just!), so about another 2.5 Kgs and it'll be time to get off the weight loss bus and get on board the weight maintenance/ keep-it-off bus.
But I haven't 'comfort' eaten and everything has been too frantic for any 'boredom' eating.
So, that says to me that the real basis of it all is about getting into some sensible moderate eating habits, (and out of some bad ones!) which, five months on, I have pretty much done.
Congratulations! You have achieved what I am looking to do. Change my bad habits into good healthy ones and really understand my relationship with food so that I make better choices for myself long term.
Its tough getting it right all the time but I think I'm getting better at each day. This forum cetainly helps.
Well done and let us know how the maintenance goes once you're there.
HI SVR28,
No-one gets it right all the time! What matters is to get into the right habits so that you get it mostly right, most of the time.
And yes, I'd certainly admit that it is a 'learning curve' - I've got to understand so much more about my relationship with food than I did six months ago!
Wow that is fantastic, You are also a great inspiration to others, I hope you will continue to login and give us your hints and tips so we can all get to where you are (even if we take the scenic route). Well done x
I just want you to know that you've been a real inspiration to me over the last 10 weeks and when I've been having my down moments, I could come on here and read your posts of sensible advise & down to earth solutions. Thank you.
Over the past 6 months you've created a new, better & healthier relationship with food that will last a life time.
You have been on a tremdous bus journey, and I'm so pleased that I've been able to hop on myself and enjoy the ride. You have been a real insperation in helping me on my weight loss journey through your bloggs and words of advise.
Well done, this give others the inspiration to keep going. Mine is coming off very slowly and have a long way to go; but its hearing stories like yours.
