Metformin and supplements

Hi all,

I have just been diagnosed formally with PCOS and insulin resistance. My gynaecologist has started me on Metformin 500mg once daily for a week, increasing to twice daily after. The symptoms I have that are an issue right now is lack of a period, excess hair, extreme fatigue, acne and weight gain.

I have been doing a lot of reading and research and wondered if anyone had taken a combination of Metformin with herbal supplements such as Berberine, spearmint extract (for excess hair) and L-Cartinine and seen good outcomes?

My primary goal right now is weight loss and regulating my periods… hoping this in turn will enable me to ovulate and become fertile again.

thanks in advance :)
