Possible menopause

So I will be 37 in July, I went to the drs as had some bleeding after sex. Smears are all up to date and the GP isn't concerned about anything serious. It was a one off and not experienced this since. I have had hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, brain fog, forgetting things, mood swings, increased anxiety and low mood among other things. The Gp is testing me for early onset menopause. I have pcos and had previously had letrozole to try and get pregnant. Had a positive 2 years ago, bled and then not had any luck since. We have been trying for 6 years. I suppose I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what support there is. I have mixed emotions about the possibility of going through this now. I've struggled with infertility and all I ever wanted was a family. Now I am scared that the GP think I am starting menopause. Just not sure how to deal with this. I know it's early days as I have to wait to have bloods and a scan due to the PCOS. I think I am just preparing myself and would love to hear how others may have coped with this.

Wishing you the very best and hoping you are doing ok.

Be kind to yourself and find enjoyment and some laughter I hope.

In case of use: Given all the circumstances if you want your own genetic child checking for other relevant medical treatment seems appropriate. If your GP has not actioned this already, I would ask them to asap. A route that one can also consider is adoption. I have 2 adopted cousins, shared a house with a friend who was adopted & one of my daughter’s friends is adopted. Process takes time but can create a loving unit for child and parents. Fostering may also be worth exploring.

Take care of yourself and good luck.

Wondering if it is ‘Snowybell’ who you might be able to share insight, err ‘most helpfully’, with. She has a post from 4 months ago, but has been replying to others since.
