norethisterone not working

Hi everyone, I got put on norethisterone earlier this month 3 times daily to slow me down since I've been suffering heavy bleeding since December last year but they just don't seem to work :(. I'm at the end of my tether with my periods & the agonising pain that comes with it -_-. I've been referred to a gynaecologist & luckily I have my first appointment next month but I'm just so run down I don't know what to do anymore. I was just wondering if I could have a little advice as tbh im scared. And I'm just so depressed, I personally think I have pcos as I show alot of the symptoms but It's a waiting game to speak to gynaecology :(. Anyways sorry if I went on abit I just feel so alone with all of this
