Hi. I have been diagnosed with pcos since 16 and am now 26. Myself and my partner have been TTC for 18 months. I have just started taking my first round of letrozole - 2.5mg tablets and I wonder about how others got on with it?

Can I ask did you gp prescribe this for you, me and my partner are ttc and I have been put on metformin but I don't think it really working and now my gynecologists thinks I'm not ovulating, so I'm willing to try anything x

I had to go to a fertility specialist for this to be prescribed but I am not sure if GPS can prescribe? Sorry x

Hi Abigail, I took Clomid for about 18months to no avail. Have been on Letrozol for over a year (up to 7.5mg now). I've managed to conceive twice on Letrozol; unfortunately one ended in an ectopic and the other a miscarriage. My personal experience is I feel that the Letrozol has had a much greater chance of conceiving and even made me feel more like I was ovulating than the Clomid ever did. Wish you all the luck! X
