Hi, around 7 years ago I was tested for PCOS because of irregular periods I had a ultrasound and was told no cysts and a blood test which nothing came from. I’m now 23, suffer with severe hair growth on my face, arms, bottom and back. I shave my face daily to keep on top of the growth it really is severe, still having irregular periods, really oily skin and fatigued most of the time. I’m also overweight and have been all my life (not blaming PCOS for that I take full responsibility for being the size I am) . I am not on any birth control as I am in a same sex marriage. I’m scared to go back to the dr but PCOS is all thats on my mind. Is it possible that I have it and it developed later on in life? Or shall I just go to the dr and see what they say. It’s the hair growth that’s affecting me I can’t seem to get on top of it. thanks

Are you saying they tested you but you didn't have PCOS? But have the symptoms? By the sounds of it you might have high Testosterone and if you are shaving the hair growth is just going to get worse. You doctor might be able to give you something to help with the hair growth. Have you tried IPL?To loose weight recently I've been eating 800 calories and going to for walks.
There's no harm going back to your doctors and going through the options for you.
Yes that was 7 years ago, I have all the symptoms. My hair growth used to be managed by threading and IPL but it’s excessive and thick. Considering doing electrolysis in the new year. I’m wondering if they could’ve missed something or PCOS has developed in the 7 years since I’ve been to the drs is that possible?
There no harm in being tested again. Maybe the doctor before didn't know what they were looking at or read your results wrongly. Just because you have the symptoms doesn't mean you have it per se and my actually cleared up and I no longer have it, but I clearly had it on my ovaries 10 years ago. But I still am a little hairy, overweight, but am losing the weight and wasn't always overweight and have periods no although irregularly. There are drugs that an help, so regardless if you have pcos or not, hopefully the doctors can at least help with some of what you are experiencing.
Good luck to you!
