Oh I see! I don’t know the exact science behind it but more testosterone can make you more irritable, more oestrogen makes you hot (and maybe irritable like me?), low progesterone can account for low moods etc but mainly, your hormone ‘fluctuations’ (the speed at which they go up and down) will affect how you feel mentally, hormones are stimulated or underestimated by brain activity.

Living with the symptoms of pcos (facial hair, weight gain, thinning scalp, infertility etc) might make us feel ‘unwomanly’ and substandard in our societies.
Yes regular blood tests are a good idea, pcos means your hormones are unpredictable so they may be different really quickly - that’s why it’s important to do blood tests regularly.
You can choose to treat hormones like progesterone with pills. I have discovered a way to balance my hormones with diet. I can’t tell you what food to eat for what hormone but I can tell you that eating less gluten made me less tired, eating no sugar balanced out my mood and not eating meat made my oestrogen come back
