I lost 4 stone with Slimming World. It doesn't work for everyone and I didn't think it would work for me with having pcos and endometriosis, but the plan is easy to follow and doesn't prevent snacking :)

Hi I can certainly help you. I run an online coaching business. Slimming world I don’t agree with as can make you become obsessed with the scales and have a bad relationship with food I.e Syns 🙄😩. I teach you EVERYTHING you need to lose weight and keep it off. I teach you the truth without the BS. If you’re interested visit the-digi-coach.com for more information x

If you can't do it with diet, try exercise. I was eating 1,300 calories and the weight was not shifting. I've started running and walking in between and its slowly coming off now.

i dont know how helpful my advise will be but this is what im doing.

i used to be 59-61kg - height 157cm before stopping the combi pill andsince then weight pilled on despite regular exercise.

start of august i peaked at 71kg which is when my pcos diagnosis came in.

since then ive upped the exercise i now do 4-5 cross training classes a week and one bike ride or just 6 classes if bad weather.

food wise is massively restricted.

ive cut down alcohol , only ever had it on weekends but not just one day - 1-2 drinks.

Breakfast: 100ml of low fat greek yogurt with 150g mixture of raspberries and strawberries.

Mid morning snack : one apple

lunch: half a pot of fresh tomato and basil soup (no cream) and one banana

dinner: one chicken breast oven cooked with mixed salad which i change up each day(lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, grated pecorino, feta, sweetcorn, grated carrot) with splash of olive oil and balsamic

in 3 weeks ive lost 2.5kg and my plan is to be under 60kg by end of october - fingers crossed!

Focus on high protein snacks. You are probably experiencing low blood sugar... what I do is eat a high protein snack between meals to keep the shakes at bay

Hello. Best way I've lost weight is by simple calorie control. I use an app called MyFitnessPal and I put in my weight, how much I want to loose and how quickly and it gives me a daily amount of calories I can have. I have been dieting since May, and have lost 1 stone 10lbs so far. My weight loss has been slow and gradual as I've only opted to loose 1lb a week but most weeks it is more. There are other weeks where I haven't been as well behaved and gone over my calories but soon pick it up again.

I hope you find something that works! x

I used to go to the gym about 3 times a week and eat around 1250 calories. I read that if you have pcos you need a good 500 calories less per day than the average woman. A low GI diet is useful also. Small meals, spread through the day is better for blood sugars also. Get a small plate. I use a large side plate for my meals only.

Low carb/high protein often works for pcos (with excercise). If you are getting shaky without snacks, you probably have blood sugar spikes and lows. It would make sense to tell your GP and have you checked for insuline resistence/blood sugar levels. Insuline resistance comes with pcos in a lot of women and does not only affect weight but also makes other pcos symptoms worse. If you are insulin resistant, Metformin can help (with food and excercise).
