Changing my 7 day break with combined pill

Hello! I was wondering anyone knows if it is safe to change the starting day of the 7 day break on the combined pill. I last pill is taken on a Wednesday but I'm wanting to change this to a Friday so that my period doesn't arrive until the Sunday. I was thinking that I could start my new pack earlier on the Saturday of my current 7 day break. Has anyone done this before?

Thank you :)

I can't see anything in the NHS guides to say you can't but might be worth checking in with a doctor or asking on the BASHH forum? healthunlocked.com/bashh/about

I spoke with my nurse this afternoon and she said it’s perfectly fine to do so! She said there may be some spotting within the next month but will regulate from then onwards. Thank you :)

I used to do 2-3 months on the trot and it reduces symptoms further. Watched a fascinating program on bbc2 I think about periods and the contraceptive pill and the only reason for the pill break week originally was to make women feel womanly so there was no medical reason for it.
