Need some emotional support, i had my secound appointment with repoductive medicine and the consultant said for me to stop trying to have a baby as my body is not responding to any treatment. I have been in floods of tears and i blame myself for all this what do i do next and does anyone know any emotional support

What a ridiculous thing to say, what has the consultant tried ?

Look at the PCOS Diet Support & 30 Day Challenge group on Facebook. One lady recently had a baby after 7 years of trying and conceived after doing this diet, there are actually loads of ladies that have conceived on it.

They have tried every medication they can, and scanned my yesterday they couldnt see any eggs there. I do 5 night shifts a week and have tired dieting they have told me to stop and shown options of adoption and fostering

I'm so sorry you're going through this! Do you have pcos, and if so Has your consultant offered you the ovarian drilling procedure? If you have a look into it, the statistics appear very good for women with pcos (it's not as scary as it sounds) and 50% of women who have it are pregnant within a year. I'm currently on the list for it, although I'm hoping a miracle will happen and I will get pregnant before I need it! There are a lot of options out there, sounds like your consultant is giving up to easily on you! Is there another hospital or consultant you can go to for a second opinion?

I would have to pay money for consultation as the hospital have discharged me. They just gaven up with me and my gp has too
