Hello Kimmy 30

I understand how hard this is as I also have PCOS but you may be able to have children . Might be worth speaking to doctors about having children.. Try not to worry .

Best wishes

That was my first thought as well - that I wouldn't be able to have kids. But having been to fertility experts I have been reassured that they are very positive that I will be able to have kids. Even if I might need a bit of help.

You know I was told the same thing 25 years ago and it is rubbish, I so hoped that GP's were more on the ball now but do not seem to be. It is extremely rare not to conceive just due to pcos, some ladies have no issues at all, some need a little help and others need more so honestly dont worry as you will conceive when you try. My advise would be to get your body in the best possible shape to help (1/3 of fertility issues are now men as well), stick to low GI type diet, your bmi does need to be below 30 to qualify for fertility treatment on the NHS

I know so many in person who have PCOS who have gone on to have children, so although I know it's easier said than done, please try and not worry.

I have PCOS myself, sometimes I wouldn't get a period cycle for 80 plus days, and my husband was then diagnosed with being sub-fertile; or meaning his count was lower than the average man.

I was devestated, yet all that worry was for nothing, as after 14 months for trying for a baby, I'm now 7 1/2 months pregnant, and we got there naturally. If it's possible naturally, and when both of you have issues, then it's definitely possible with medical intervention if you need it x
