So in November I was in hospital with pelvic sepsis. After a recent visit to my gynaecologist, he’s said he wants me to have a laparoscopy before he tries anytime and has said he will also do ovarian drilling.
Just wondering if any of you ladies have had this done? And also if it resulted in any pregnancies? Any advice and your experiences are appreciated, I’m very nervous!
Thank you x

I presume they are checking your tubes as well along with the OD - both are good to have done as if your tubes are blocked then no amount of trying will help. OD can increase the window to conceive to about 6 months but they the cysts (follicles) can start to come back sometimes. It may be worth tracking your temperature to see if you are ovulating (fertilityfriends is a good one) as it is the only way to tell with pcos.
I had a laparoscopy inc OD but sadly it didnt help me conceive but I know lots of ladies it did help (my hubbies sperm was dodgy which didnt help!)
Yes via IUI - Noah is now 12 -it is really rare not to conceive just because of pcos, it takes some of us a bit longer (3 years for me). So try not to worry too much as you will get there in the end.
I presume you have cysts on your ovaries checked by a recent scan as they can come and go (the name is misleading as they thought to cysts were the cause of pcos but further research shows they are not and only a symptom so one time you may have the cysts during a scan and 6 months later they may have gone).
Just a FYI - we tend to ovulate later than the norm so unless you keep having repeat blood tests to confirm it they may be done at the wrong time. You can also ovulate without a period so dont focus too much on the period as it doesnt mean you are ovulating!
Oh wow I didn’t know that, thank you! In regards to my cysts, they have been present on my right ovary through out but come and go on my left and weren’t there on my last scan. I had about 7 blood tests over the course of the month and my LH levels were high on every test?
