Hi all getting the implant removed on Monday at 4pm I’ve ordered the pill the Yasmin pill has anyone got pregnant with it before and what are the chances to get pregnant with it? What else can I take to get pregnant me and my partner are starting to try I was advised to take the Yasmin pill because I was told people get pregnant with in a couple of weeks

I think yasmin is a contraceptive. It might regulate your hormones so you are more likely to get pregnat when you come off it. But if it is a contraceptive I'd have thought you are extremely unlikely to get pregnant while taking it. Wait for someone more knowledgeable to come along. Talk to your doctor too.

Yasmin is an oral contraceptive pill. It’s purpose is to prevent pregnancy but it will help you to have regular cycles. Some people report getting pregnant quickly after stopping oral contraceptives but for some it can take a long time for cycles to become regular. My periods stopped for 7 months after stopping Yasmin to try for a baby.

If you are hoping to conceive I’d book another appointment with your GP for advice

Thankyou for your replies means a lot , I’ve being pregnant once but had a miscarriage when I was with my ex I was taking pregnacare tablets I was taking them for a while I was 2/3 months pregnant had a miscarriage this January and now obviously iam trying with my partner but I was told people with pcos can be infertile and tablets don’t work but the Yasmin pill apparently works and so does chlomid but they won’t give me it I don’t know why! They are doing a lap op drilling my ovaries and seeing what else is there only if my periods start going irregular again I’ve being bleeding every other week for 2/3 months with the implant and had a migraine as well for 2 months I was sick the other night and feel sick every day , I really want a baby but nothing is working any advice?x

I was on Yasmin for years. It was an oral contraceptive

My cycles definitely. it’s means I had a period every month. We’re trying for a kid now and now I’m off Yasmin its 29-40 and everything in between! Excess hair not so much...but it was nice having the regular cycles.

Did they start a while after you started it? My cycles was fine until I got the pill a couple of years ago now there all over and every other week now , is there anything what can help with pregnancy and fertility? I was told Yasmin would but obviously not x

I’d have a chat with your doctor - every woman is different. In regards to Yasmin no - that will have the opposite effect of what you want.

Not too sure about anything that will help with fertility - I’m currently in the midst of being referred for treatment. But make sure your taking folic acid and stay healthy x good luck x

Yeah I will do on Monday when I see my gp , iam having surgery

Next year a lap op but il keep trying before that , how long does the implant side effects take to clear your body? Xx

Again, every woman is different. I was on the implant and it played havoc on my body. I was on most of the time and an emotional wreck! I’d say a good few months at least for me anyway x then I went back on the pill Yasmin until I came off to try for a baby x

Yeah iam having it removed on Monday getting migraines everyday being for the past 2 months every day can’t sleep properly of my food as well , iam crying all the time moods are really bad as well and bleeding every other week x
