I have been reading up on the benefits of myo-inositol but there are so many variants on the market. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have seen a supplement called Ovasitol but it is rather expensive but it has D-Chiro-Inositol as well as the myo-inositol.

I've bought a powder form of myo-inositol as it is much cheaper than the tablet form (£5 a bag which should last at least a month I would say). I've only been taking it a week so cannot comment if it actually does anything though! Inofolic and inositol are the same thing as far as I can tell but the inofolic is like £30 for a months worth of tablets!! I have heard good things too.
I did a lot of research before I decided on the product but I have been using MyOva from Amazon. You can get x3 bottles each containing 120 tablets of a high strength 1000mg for £81 or x6 for £144. Scientific papers recommend to take 4g (=4000mg)i.e. 4 tablets a day (you can take two in the morning and two in the evening but it is best if you take one each time you have a meal. Take 4 tablets a day at least one-two months. I intend to do so for 6. I am about to have some blood tests and will then know if it works for reduction of cholesterol and blood glucose. Mum has been taken it only for about couple of weeks before she had a blood test and her cholesterol was dramatically improved. This product also contains 200um folic acid and 100um chromium, helping metabolism and improving fertility.
Most other (cheaper products) are not high strength and need to take multiple tablets to make up the recommended dose of 4g.
Hope this helps.

Hi a gyno recommended inifolic to me. I went as we are trying to conceive and she recommended this it's a bit pricey but i felt if a dr is recommending it I shud take it. I'm 8 weeks pregnant now. She also gave me actual medication to help me me ovulate so may have all happened without inifolic
Before the doctor had recommended that I was taking meridan same thing buy cheaper.
