hi i am 16 and was diagnosed with PCOS a year ago and up until now it hasn't really bothered me, but lately my periods have been a lot more painful. they are now regular because I was put on the pill but they are still painful and I get this stinging thing inside my vagina which is really quite uncomfortable and I'm a bit worried because no one seems to get this. also when I walk around, I get pain in my ovaries and I always feel sick! is this normal for PCOS? also could this be endometriosis as well? should I get it checked out? and what does the future hold, like does it get worse? I have so many questions that I don't seem to know the answer to

I would get checked for endo as pain is generally associated with endo rather than pcos. Ask to be referred to an endocrinologist as they specialise in both conditions. You would need to have a laparoscopy to check for endo as it is not possible to tell via a scan. Look at the NICE guidelines on PCOS and Endo as it advises what to expect. Good luck.
I have suffered with this since diagnosis (which was around 8 years ago) its much less frequent now I am on the pill and have regular periods. During my period I still suffer with high level of pain and I too feel pain in my ovaries and can feel sick. I was checked for endo and none was found. I know it's generally advised that pcos does not cause pain but the endo and doctor advised me that is what causes mine. I feel that the advice previously given is the best, about getting a referral to an endo to look into it. I can appreciate its awful to feel unwell so much, but it can get to a stage were it feels more manageable and less frequent, and knowing where it's coming from is a step towards that. Best of luck x
